Overlays

Overlays are visual layouts that appear on your stream to make it more professional and interactive. They display chat, events, goals, and custom graphics.

What are Overlays?

Overlays are browser-based graphics that you add to OBS Studio (or other streaming software) as Browser Source. They can show:

• Unified Chat - Comments from TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Douyin in one place
• Event List - Recent follows, gifts, likes, shares
• Goal Bars - Like goals, follower goals, gift goals
• Leaderboards - Top gifters, top chatters
• Custom Images/Videos - Your logo, alerts, animations
• Sound Alerts - Visual part of sound alerts

They update in real-time as events happen on your live.

Troubleshooting

• Overlay not showing in OBS?
  • Check URL correct
  • Check Browser Source width/height not 0
  • Check overlay enabled in GEMTOK
  • Refresh Browser Source in OBS (right-click ? Refresh)
• Not updating?
  • Ensure Stream Studio connected to live
  • Check overlay filters not too strict
  • Refresh overlay URL
• Laggy?
  • Reduce animation, lower FPS in Browser Source (30 FPS enough)
  • Use fewer overlays
